Paramount Home Entertainment have just released a press release stating that Transformers has sold 8.3 million copies on DVD in its first week and about 190,000 on HD DVD. We here find this comment a bit ironic from Paramount given the DVD and HD DVD is only out in North America.
Its been a while but its time for 2 more exclusive Tfnet toy galleries. For your viewing pleasure I give you the G1 Re-Deco of Autobot Jazz and FAB Disc Blast Decepticon Frenzy.

Who’d a thunk it?
Yes, it’s true. Head over to our forums for more news on that, and see some screen captures showing just how much more footage you’ll get for your dollar.
Dreamworks will now be producing the Live Action Transformers movie, with a release in 2006, and Paramount with the foreign rights to the film. In previously rumoured news, Steven Spielberg did use his magic on Hasbro to get Dreamwaorks the film rights. He will be the film’s Executive Producer with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto all being producers.
Hasbro will be involved in creative development, marketing and merchandising, with Takara, the poeple who actually make the toys, will have a development role.
While we’re on the subject of Alternators, apparently Hasbro have said that they have no plans to release the Alternator figures apart from Smokescreen in good ol’ Blighty!! Now I’m not sure whether this has been officially confirmed or not but if this is true, then basically we, The Brtish fans, some of the most loyal in the world, are getting overlooked AGAIN!!! Fortress Maximus, Swoop, Shockwave, Blaster!! Some of the best figures in the 20 year series and a lot of us missed out on them. Now we are possibly going through the same process once again!
According to Tformers.com, the number 9 Binaltech/Alternator figure is going to be based on the new model Mini Cooper! Possibilities for this figure? Bumblebee? Cliffjumper? Who knows? Keep your optics peeled!

Sony’s PlayStation Meeting 2004 in Tokyo happened yesterday, and confirmed what Andrew Carter said in an interview on Eurogamer about the possiblity of “Transformers” being released onto the PlayStation Portable. Transformers will be a release title when the console comes out early next year in Europe and USA. With PSP specs rivaling the PS2 and given the time to release, this will likely be a port of the original. At first Sony wanted unique titles on the PSP, but have changed their minds since then.
